The author describes first the several kinds of frost and the causes of their formation.
From those kinds of frost raises the nightly radiation, theoretically exposed for the two cases of clear and covered sky.
Following, comes a very detailed chapter including the deduction of Brunt’s formula to the prognostication of the nightly fall of temperature. From that related formula they deduct rules about foreseeing of frost.
The influence of topography on cooling, as well as the kind of the ground are deeply studied, so it is possible to elaborate advice about a better defense of plantation. In the same advice they include the employment of wind and of reinvestment.
The study finishes with an exposition of Young's formula and the determination method of the local constants.
