Algumas considerações sobre a implantação de distritos industriais

Abstract

This thesis has as aim to study the industrial districts, specially its implantation in Brazil.

For better understanding of the matter, the first chapter presents a conceptual discussion about some terms indistinctly used in the industrial planning literature, an industrial district classification proposed by the United Nations and also some considerations about its size.

The second and third chapters provide a description of policies on industrial districts achievement of developed and underdeveloped countries, trying to emphasize its inequalities as for objectives, planning and control.

Following, it seeks to systematize some information on the Brazilian experience, 1dentify1ng the main aspects of localization policy of industrial districts in three States in the present situation.

Finally, the fifth and last chapter refers to the importance o! an over-all view o! the industrial districts in the planning and provides a set of basic rules of general character !or its installation.
