Abstract

The significant increase in atmospheric temperature in cities has caused major problems for the population. Thus, this paper aims to present the climate of Nova Iguaçu, analyze meteorological data in the city of Nova Iguaçu, and compare the behavior of surface temperature obtained through the use of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) with atmospheric temperature data from the meteorological station located at the Multidisciplinary Institute of UFRRJ. To conduct this research, RPAS equipped with thermal cameras, meteorological station data, and bibliographical surveys were used. By analyzing the surface temperature data presented in the images generated by the RPAS, a dynamic scenario in relation to temperature variation was observed, while there was little change in atmospheric temperature.
