Águas de São Pedro

Resumo

The author's article deals with the region of São Pedro and its mineral Waters. The interest on this area was moused by superficial signs of petroleum which led the government and private concerns proceed to soundings in search for oil. The results in this respect were fruitless but, on the other hand, discovery was made of mineralized water sheets in deep layers of the soil. Owing to considerable difficulties of the physical environment that had to be surmounted, the utilization of these waters, in a complete spas organization provided with modern hydrotherapeutic installations, is a praiseworthy achievement.
