Repensando a questão do hábitat no Brasil

Resumo

Recolocar a pauta de debates da Geografia brasileira, dos anos 90, a questão dos estudos sobre o hábitat e discutir sua relevância no contexto atual é o principal objetivo desse trabalho. Inicialmente, historiou-se os trabalhos de alguns profissionais que iniciaram os estudos sobre o hábitat no Brasil e que se tomaram referência clássica sobre o assunto, principalmente as relações entre os profissionais estrangeiros que vieram trabalhar no Brasil, e seus discípulos, que prosseguiram seus respectivos legados. O estabelecimento de uma sintética tipologia sobre esses estudos de hábitat e de gênero de vida, a partir de um conjunto de 69 trabalhos, foi a segunda tarefa, e que deve ser encarada aqui, como um exercício de pesquisa para fins didáticos e não como uma tentativa de esgotamento do assunto estudos clássicos de geógrafos; os trabalhos de antropólogos, sociólogos e arquitetos, os estudos sobre colonização e povoamento, os estudos regionais que enfatizaram o hábitat, os de enfoque economicista, e os que enfatizaram as relações entre periferia rural e espaço urbano foram algumas das inúmeras possibilidades de classificação do tema. Como desafio para os novos pesquisadores, foram também exemplificadas algumas novas formas de hábitat que estão ocorrendo atualmente no Brasil, tanto no contexto rural quanto no urbano. O trabalho finaliza mostrando a importância do estudo do hábitat no planejamento da base geográfica operacional dos Censos Demográficos, revisados decenalmente.

            To introduce again in the fine of debates of the Brazilian Geography of the nineties the subject of the studies on the habitat and to discuss your relevance in the current context is the principal objective of that work initially, it was related the works of some professionals that began the studies on the habitat in Brazil and that they became classic reference on the subject, mainly the relationships among the foreign professionals that came to work in Brazil, and your disciples, that your respective legacies continued. The recognition of a synthetic typology on those habitat studies and of life gender, starting from a group of 69 works, it was the second task, and that here should be faced, as a research exercise for didactic ends and I don't eat an attempt of exhaustion of the subject geographers' classic studies, the anthropologists' works, sociologists and architects; the studies on colonization and settlement, the regional studies that emphasized the habitat, the one of economist focus, and the ones that emphasized the relationships among rural periphery and space I urban they were some of the countless possibilities of classification of the theme. As challenge for the news researchers, they were also exemplified some news habitat forms that are happening now in Brazil, so much in the rural context, as in the urban. The work concludes showing the importance of the study of the habitat in the planning of the operational geographical base of the demographic censuses.
