Resumo

Brazilian bioclimatic regions. The bioclimatic classification based on the Gaussen methods permits the better knowledge of the real climatic conditions existed in those different areas of the national country, showing the perfect correlation of the different climatic modalities with the various types of vegetation. By the other side, the limits of those climatic modalities are really correlated to the air masses dynamic that predominates over the several brazilian areas during the year, presenting, also, the correlation with relief and altitude.

For the use of this method, the principal factors like temperature, precipitation and the number of the rainy days, the relative humidity and the number of dew's days and the foggy day had permitted to make a list of the greatest climatic groups with its respective subdivisions and the brazilian bioclimatic chart.

The finality of the bioclimatic chart is represent for each brazilian region, a synthesis of those elements and factors of the climate which have great importance over the lives beings in general and over the vegetation in particular.

By the study of 602 meteorological station, we had got 6 bioclimatic regions, where we can distinguish different kinds according to each case:

- by the intensity and duration of the dry period.

- by the characteristic values of temperature.

- by the rainfalls regime.

- by the temperatures regime.

The results of that study, gave us the precious details in the correlation of the climatic

types with vegetation. We believe that we could give the most important services to the

agriculture and also to the forest economy.
