Through these two articles, "O Agreste de Esperança" and "A Fronteira Cariri-Agreste de Esperança", the author Mr. Gerard Prost is giving to the regional study of Paraiba State an adequate conclusion.
In the first of them he points out the different kinds of tillages, methods of cultivation practiced in the region, and land use organization. Following he analyses the sociological and demographic situation.
In the second one he tries to place the causes and process under which this boundary was established.
