Resumo

The paper "Contribution of LEO WAIBEL to the Brazilian Geography" give an idea of the remarkable influence that WAIBEL has given to the understanding of numerous geographical problems concerning Brazil, and on creation of geographical mentality, that took shape in many Brazilian geographers in reflecting his orientation, chiefly in the field of general geography.

            All the works made by LEO WAIBEL about Geography of Brazil was joint in a posthumous collection, published in 1958, under the tittle "Chapter of Tropical and Brazil Geography" In this volume was also included his principal studies of General Geography, interesting Geography of Brazil: "The Pastoral Regions of South Hemisphere" as well as about "tropical plantage" and the "Thünem Theory". From his methodological bibliography, only the prefatory chapter "Probleme der Landwirtschaftsgeographie" had divulgation in Brazil through the work mentioned above.

            The conclusions of the main articles published in Brazil, are analyzed, summarily, in the present paper.
